Rota renews all Blue Flags and consolidates its position as the Andalusian municipality with the highest number of awards

Rota is in luck. And is that this noon has been known that the city has achieved for the fifth consecutive year to renew each and every one of the Blue Flags, valuable quality certifications that again place Rota as the municipality with the largest number of flags throughout Andalusia.

This is certainly great news, which makes Rota add a total of 10 awards that certify the excellence and quality of its beaches (Galeones, Chorrillo-Rompidillo, Costilla, Puntalillo, Punta Candor and La Ballena), as well as the Coastal Interpretation Center and Botanical ‘Celestino Mutis’, the dunes and pine forests of Rota, and another marina.

In fact, these awards given by the ADEAC come to reward the continued commitment that keeps the City of Rota, through its Delegation of Beaches, for quality in the environmental management of the coast, the water quality of its beaches and the many rescue services, cleaning, accessibility, etc.. found on our beaches.

All this with the intention of offering the best services and that our coastline along with environmental centers and trails are in the best conditions for residents and visitors. The deputy mayor delegate of Beaches, Manuel Jesus Puyana, wanted to thank and extend this important achievement to all staff and Beaches operators and Environment operators, as well as all the people who care for and respect these important areas for our town and for tourism in our city.
